Imagine music that combines the rawness and unpredictability of the rock world with the glossiness and catchy hooks of the pop world.
Venus Mars Project is an original, high-energy, power pop/rock band with a unique, edgy sound from two skillful musicians of diverse melodic backgrounds. Singer/songwriter Jacyn Tremblay and guitarist/singer/songwriter Peter Tentindo have come together from their respective sonic realms to create a truly unique and thought-provoking new musical experience called the Venus Mars Project.
Jacyn Tremblay was formerly signed to Universal Motown Records as a pop singer with the Boston-based female pop/r&b group, “Jada”, and has recorded several international hit singles with Akon, RedOne, Andrew Frampton & Wayne Wilkins.
Peter Tentindo, a professional guitarist, singer/songwriter, session musician, and teacher, was the backing band leader for Jimi Jamison (former lead singer of Survivor) and has opened for nationally respected acts like Alice Cooper, Heaven & Hell, and Queensryche.
Jacyn and Peter, both natives of Danvers, Massachusetts, first met when they were cast together in an original rock horror musical, “Scary Mary and the Audio Corsette”, for Salem’s dynamic Halloween season of Haunted Happenings. Their serendipitous connection sparked a musical relationship, combined with the help of a select few collaborators, who are experts in their respective fields of business, marketing, and media production, the Venus Mars Project was officially launched.
Venus Mars Project is a natural progression for us as artists and a culmination of our respective musical backgrounds and experiences,” says Jacyn. “We’re having a blast collaborating and will continue to release new music to our fans and friends! For us, it’s all about the love of our craft, the unwavering dedication and passion we each have for making music, and the joy we can bring to others by living our own joy. It’s a special kind of bliss.
Venus Mars Project has a unique sound in the pop/rock genre with a high-energy stage presence that attracts music fans across multiple genres. The songs Jacyn and Peter write and create reflect the signature originality, positivity, and unpredictability that are staples throughout their body of work.
Using music as a creative outlet and reflection of their personal lives, much of their subject matter comes from their true feelings, raw emotions, and shared experiences in life that are relatable to everyone.
The artful collaboration of this duo is manifested in their two most recent songs. #LaLaLaLove, produced by renowned producer/songwriter Anthony Resta, who has worked with legendary artists such as Elton John, Collective Soul, and Duran Duran, is a fun song about the reckless and whimsical feeling of falling in love.
Their song, Not Gonna Stop Me Now, mixed by producer/engineer Bob St. John, whose credits include Extreme and Dokken, is about not allowing others to get in your way and keep you from achieving your goals. The chorus is a positive declaration that you are not going to back down.
We’re very lucky to be surrounded by a small team of incredibly supportive friends with specialized skill sets who’ve been helping us behind the scenes on marketing, video production, social media promotion, and recording. We wouldn’t be where we are today without their generosity and willingness to spend so much of their time helping us march forward.
Our goal is to be the face of an evolved style of modern pop/rock that can hook fans from the Millennial and Gen Z generations seeking a fresh, unique, and vibrant act with a blend of familiar and uncommonly exciting music.
If given the proper opportunity, we believe we can rekindle the concept of a grassroots, full-set band, armed with a positive message, a raw intensity, and a kinetic stage presence that can thrive in the 21st century entertainment world.
